Arbitration Trial -- Reliable Onshore Services Company v. Tanner Companies. Inc.

Richard and Mary LaGarde recently tried an arbitration in New Orleans on behalf of their client Reliable Onshore Services Company. The case involved the client's extra-judicial dissolution of an asset purchase agreement which was breached by Tanner Companies, Inc. The arbitration was tried before arbitrators George Freeman, Bruce Schewe, and Stephen Bullock. The panel issued an award cofirming Reliable Onshore's position that the asset purchase agreement had been dissolved. The panel also awarded damages to Reliable Onshore for lost profits while ordering a return to Tanner of the purchase price and the value of improvements.
