Mary Ellis LaGarde's Biographical Information

Mary Ellis LaGarde graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in Economics from the Frostburg State University of Maryland She obtained her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ms. LaGarde is a Member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Florida, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Texas Trial Lawyer’s Association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.

Ms. LaGarde has been featured as a legal commentator on CNN, Good Morning America, Dateline, Nightline, MSNBC, and various local news stations. Ms. LaGarde has represented clients in civil litigation, including class actions, multi-district litigation proceedings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations. She has also served as legal counsel in Congressional Hearings investigating the Firestone tire tread separation controversy.
